Why does Canada (along with other countries) choose to deport “foreign” criminals rather than let them serve additional prison time in Canada (as suggested by some of the respondents in the Barnes article)? What is the problem with this type of banishment (according to Gibney)? How is law implicated in this process?  

Why does Gibney think that deportation is a form of forced migration? Do you agree?
