Explain in your own opinion, if the promise of economic prosperity is worth further sacrificing the wellbeing of the earth. (Hint: Seems like a straight forward answer, but consider various possibilities; increased food security, more efficient trade, emergence of economies of nearby nations. All of such appears to be temporary feats that still points to an inevitable breakdown of earth’s sustainability, or does it?)
