2. Can PAs/Dentists specialize? How does that impact their education?

4. Do PAs have to practice on location with a physician? Have some sort of collaborative agreement?
5. Can PAs/Dentists prescribe medications? Are there limitations on the medications that they can prescribe?

   1. What are the presenting signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) that dentists/PAs should look for in their patients? Any differences in your assessments? What is the differential diagnosis for PAs/dentists?
   2. How is the diagnosis of TMD established? When do dentists/PAs use advanced imaging techniques for confirmation? Similarities? Differences?
   3. What are comorbid conditions/diseases that often present in individuals with TMD disorders?
   4. What non-drug treatments can dentists recommend to patients with TMD, and how can those be incorporated into regular dental care? How about PAs – non-pharmacologic treatment, patient education? lifestyle/behavioral modifications?
