Based on your research in your chosen UX/XA topic you will write a well-organized, informational memo report in which you give an overview of your chosen UX/XA subject area, discuss how the subject area may be applied in the work of your field or be of benefit to students in your major, and provide a short annotated bibliography.

Structure
Your memo report should follow the conventions of memo reports as described in our Week 4 Reading “Writing an Effective Memo Report.” This will include:
A proper memo report header, including a To, From, Date, and RE section. The RE section can read “[UX/XA Subject Area] Informational Memo Report” with “[UX/XA Subject Area]” replaced with the name of your chosen UX/XA subject area.
A short introductory paragraph that addresses the question “why is my audience reading this” that explains the context for the memo report, its purpose, and an overview of its contents.
The body of the report itself, which should consist of a series of sections using headers and sub-headers to organize your key findings that answer the question “what does my audience need to know?” These sections should include:
An Overview section of UX and your chosen subject area, including brief discussions of 3 to 4 concepts/issues of that subject area. This overview section should have its own header and then use multiple sub-headers to identify the topics under discussion (roughly 500-1000 words)
An Application section in which you discuss how the subject area might be applied in the work of your major or beneficial to students in your major (roughly 300-600 words)
An Annotated Bibliography section of 6 to 8 sources, 4 of which should be scholarly, peer-reviewed articles. The others can be from reference works such as encyclopedias and handbooks, chapters from textbooks or industry how-to guides, and credible websites. These sources will provide the research needed to write your overview. See Annotations below for a further discussion of what this section should look like.
A Works Cited section which includes the sources used in your annotated bibliography.
Annotations
Your Annotated Bibliography section should be organized as an annotated bibliography. Each entry should be organized alphabetically by author’s last name (or title if no author) and should do the following:
Provide the full bibliographic information following the guidelines for citation system of your choice. Under each source’s bibliographic information there should be a 1-2-paragraph annotation that:
Identifies the main argument or claim in the source,
States how the author supports that claim (research methodology, kinds of evidence, etc.),
Describes the author’s purpose, and
Describes how the source contributes to your knowledge about the problem you want to explore in your literature review.””
