Lab Assignment For this lab, you are a wireless forensics specialists providing consulting services for a small motel chain that has been acquired by a larger hotel company. The plan is to keep the company’s motels as a separate brand from the new parent company. The parent company wants to upgrade the facilities in the motel chain, including the existing wired LANs. The company plans to implement WLANs both to assist in motel administration and to provide guests with a wireless Internet connection. You have been asked to prepare a wireless forensics network report to include the process of developing a wireless network and a site survey as part of the feasibility study. The wireless forensics network report should include an explanation on the purpose of the site survey, the specific procedures involved, the reasons for the procedures, security considerations, and the tools typically needed to complete the site survey. In addition, the wireless forensics network report should include which IEEE standard(s) the proposed wireless network supports, how to determine the geographical limit of the proposed wireless network, and which technologies (i.e. GSM, CDMA, etc.) will be supported and how will they be supported for mobile phones.
