You should address ONE of the following questions:

1. If we “analyze our own assumptions and biases” and “consider other alternatives”,  WHY would we be less likely to exhibit Naive Realism and the Spotlight Effect? 

2. If we “avoid emotional reasoning” and  “examine the evidence”,  WHY would we be less likely to exhibit the Barnum Effect, the Availability Heuristic and the Validity Effect?

3.  What real life examples of Naive Realism have you observed in person or in social media? If we do not truly accept that our own experiences are not equivalent to objective reality, how might that reduce our likelihood of discovering what is actually true? 

4. How might a Fixed Mindset of ability, the Primacy Effect and the Fundamental Attribution Error lead us to underestimate our own and others’ potential? Below is a link to a website that lists a number of ongoing studies that you can participate in. Please choose the one that is of most interest to you.

Study Report-IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: 

Write up a 1 PAGE report including:

1. The name of the study.

2. Who the researchers were who posted the study.

3. What you did during the course of the study.

4. Your reaction to the study (i.e., what you thought of your experience).
