Select a substance abuse prevention program that you are familiar with, have researched, or would like to learn more about. Discuss the history of the program and the current status of the program. Describe the program and evaluate its effectiveness in addressing substance abuse. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the program based on the evidence and research available. Share your evaluation and propose suggestions for improving the program or developing alternative approaches that may be more effective in preventing substance abuse among individuals. Support your arguments with a minimum of 5 references to scholarly articles and studies.

You are free to attend the type of prevention program meeting if you like. For example, Alcohol Anonymous meeting via online or in person (you can only go to open groups) to get the experience. If you speak with someone, you should add their quotes to your paper, however that should not be the bulk of your paper.
