Mrs. Heaven, she is 32 years old with no known allergies admitted to ward overnight after arriving to the emergency department due to severe pain in abdomen and nausea. Heaven was discharged from hospital three days ago following an emergency appendectomy. Heaven’s reports persistent nausea and reluctant to eat. She describes her abdominal pain as sharp and localized to the right lower quadrant. She rates her pain 7 out of 10 according to numerical pain scale and also mentioned feeling hot and lightheaded when attempting to stand and would prefer to rest in bed. Vital signs are blood pressure 110 by 70 mmHg, heart rate 98 bpm, respiratory rate 18 bpm, temperature 37.9 degrees Celsius, SpO2 99% on room air.
