For example, Whole Foods believes in animal compassion standards that allow the shopper to pay a premium but receive food from animals that were treated humanely. Whole Foods’ CEO John Mackey is known for Conscious Capitalism and the company has been named by Fortune magazine as a “Best Company to Work For” for 16 consecutive years. The ethics that Whole Foods brings to products and services are also found in the way the organization treats its employees.
