According to this questionnaire I identify most strongly with the behavior emphasis ideology. I believe that behaviors are the best indicators for who someone is as a leader. There are a lot of leaders out there that make empty promises to gain respect, but I think the best leaders earn respect by how they lead. How are they influencing others? How do they treat their followers? How do they respond to the needs of their followers? What is their overall mission, and how do their behaviors reflect that? Do their behaviors reflect a growth mindset? These are all very important questions to me, so it is actually very interesting that I did not score higher on the relationship emphasis spectrum. I believe that some people may be born with natural leadership abilities, but I also believe that leadership abilities can be developed overtime. I think that it is mainly our personal experiences that shape who we are as a leader. I would never have considered myself a natural born leader, but I have found myself in various leadership positions. I excelled in those positions not because of my natural instinct, but because I was open to learning and adapting while immersed in that role.
