Compose a proposal and annotated bibliography in order to: 

a) identify and find more background information about the social issue COVID-19 pandemic

– For this part of the assignment, you are going to

· propose the topic that you are going to focus on for your UnEssay project

· The topic should be a social issue

· select a primary text from the course

· list any related terms (i.e., keywords, phrases, historical figures and/or events)

· construct a research question to guide your research

– Remember to base this part of your assignment on at least ONE Wikipedia page related to your topic.

– You will build your knowledge further by closely reading three more texts that relate to your topic.

The three texts should be non-fictional and either expository or argumentative in style and intended purpose. 

– Here are some popular sources that I recommend:

· The Conversation* · Vox (Vox Explainers, including their videos, can be especially helpful) · Ted Talks (includes transcripts of their videos) · Boston Review · Vice · CBC – Opinions or Analysis · Macleans* · Democracy Now.

– Annotate only the references for your three additional research texts

· Give 3-5 bullet points of annotations for each text

· Each annotation should be 1-2 lines long – no paragraphs

· Label each annotation as either a critical or creative insight

· Paraphrase and quote keywords/phrases where necessary and remember to cite the paragraph number or timestamp
