401 W6: Designing Learning Experiences

This week’s focus is on learning about different types of instruction. We are examining performance-based instruction, experiential learning, transformational learning, and the power of choice.  

First, reflect on your own learning and describe how you learn best. Analyze the type of instruction that allows you to be the most successful in face to face and online environments.

Then, discuss how your own learning comfort zone is both an asset and a challenge. Explain how you will make sure that you design instruction for adult learners that may regularly require you to think and operate beyond your comfort zone of teaching and learning preferences in order to meet the varied leaning preferences of a class full of different adults.
