Why do you believe treatment of integrity is vital to interpret the results of intervention research?

When interventions are implemented they may at first appear to be working well. However, these interventions sometimes stop working after just a few weeks or months. While it is possible that a new intervention may be necessary, often the solution is to revisit the original intervention to identify potential problems of procedural integrity that may be hampering the treatment. 

For this Discussion, you will consider the measures of integrity in single-case research. You will examine the role of procedural integrity in intervention research and practice. You will also consider the impact of systematic approaches to treatment integrity on the success of intervention implementation.

To Prepare:

• Review the Learning Resources for this week as well as the required weekly media programs to gain an understanding of the measures of integrity in research. Note: It is mandatory for you to review all media for this week prior to completing this Discussion.
• Consider why integrity is important to research and why measures of integrity are also important.
