The assignment rubric is below. A sample assignment linked below is an example of how to write the main theme analysis paper. You are given the main theme. Do not try to come up with one of your own. The example I will give is from Acts of the Apostles. It is less than 2 pages, but make sure that your papers are 3-4 pages long. The main theme I will be validating/illustrating is as follows: “Jesus the Messiah continues to fulfill God’s plan by expanding the early church in the face of opposition through the Holy Spirit’s power.”

Tip: Break the main theme you are given into 2-4 points, then try to illustrate each of those aspects of the main theme. So for this theme, I could try illustrating: 1) Jesus is the Messiah/Christ; 2) the early church expanded; 3) the expansion happened in spite of the opposition; 4) this expansion happened because of the Holy Spirit. Then I would read through Acts, note verses that relate to each of these aspects, and write on them. Do not write on how each chapter of the book connects to the main theme.
