Task:
By implementing and analyzing the team results, based on Formative Assessments: Written Assignment Deliverables 1 – 4 prepare individually answers and recommendations to the following questions:
a) What are the issues or problems facing the organization in the VUCA world? (30%)
b) What unit concepts can be applied to understand why this problem is occurring? (30%)
c) What recommendations can you offer to help improve organizational functioning? Focus on small teams or project groups instead of an organization. (40%)
Objectives:
In this assignment students should demonstrate the following skills, competencies and abilities:
a) Take responsibility for transforming work or study contexts by leveraging individual differences, group dynamics and organisational culture and design and by balancing multiple objectives in ways that are accountable and achievable;
b) Take responsibility for adapting the management of people and projects reflecting on the dynamic nature of the environment in which one operates;
c) Effectively manage teams and projects and demonstrate the ability to respond to the fast-changing business environment when managing project risks, project execution, and project control.
d) Demonstrate capability in analyzing workplace scenarios with the purpose to recommend individual, group, and organizational level actions to improve workforce and organizational performance.
e) Reflect on social and ethical responsibilities linked to leadership and team management and the impact of individual behaviour on others.
f) Demonstrate specialized knowledge of factors that affect workplace behaviour considering individual differences, group dynamics and organizational culture and design
g) Perform critical evaluation and analysis of management behaviour and how it can impact on individual, team, and organisation performance.
h) Be able to solve problems in new or unfamiliar organisational contexts by interpreting workplace behaviour and dynamics.
Guidelines:
– Students work individually and provide their own individual analysis and conclusions;
– The Assessment should contain 1000 +/- 10% words.
– Each question should be answered separately and contain references to supportive data and sources using APA referencing style.
