9126You’re a teacher of a class of 25 students (you choose the grade level and subject). In this class you have three students with IEP’s. One student is coded emotionally disturbed. Another is coded with autism. The third is coded other health impairment for ADHD – hyperactive type. The ED student has a trigger of non-preferred activities and writing task. The student with autism is high functioning but has sensory issues, especially loud, sudden noises such as the other student having an unexpected loud, outburst. The student with ADHD is easily distracted especially, when bored or not understanding instruction, and when that happens can become a distraction for the whole class.
Create a lesson plan for the subject of your choosing. Then write a paper explaining the strategies you use in the lesson to keep all students engaged and how you prepare for and handle the class disruptions. This is not a first day class. Include the physical arrangement for your classroom and why you have it set it that way. You can set up your room in a non-Covid way. Be sure how to explain how this makes your students academically and behaviorally successful.
The final project is 200 points. One hundred points are awarded for the lesson plan and 100 points for the explanation
