Though unfortunate, some charitable organizations have used events such as natural disasters to raise funds; nonetheless, little (if any) money and/or resources, were donated to the affected area(s). Over the next couple of weeks, find an instance of contrepreneurial fraud involving fake advocacy and answer the following questions:
- Who was the organization and what were the events surrounding the fraud?
- Has the fraud impacted the organization’s ability to garner support and or subsequent donations?
- Is there a way to prevent fake advocacy moving forward? If so, what are some preventative measures that can be taken?
