Benchmark – Late Adulthood Interview and Storytelling Presentation
This assignment will enhance your ability to engage empathetically and effectively with older adults by listening to their stories and gaining insights into their life journeys. By reflecting on these narratives, you can better appreciate the diverse perspectives and needs of this population. Ultimately, the assignment fosters the development of advanced skills in communication, assessment, and intervention, which are essential for providing high-quality care and support to older adults.
Complete an interview with someone, age 70 or older. This interview should be a minimum of 20 minutes to ensure you have the opportunity to get to know them. Audio record and transcribe the interview for submission, with the person’s permission.

Do not include pictures of the person you interviewed but use illustrations and graphics that represent the information obtained. The presentation can be completed in any format you choose; PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, etc. If the platform you select requires a password, you will need to provide the password to your GCU instructor so they can view your presentation.
