3. Read this CASE and do what the Board has asked you to do:
You are the Director of the Marketing Department in a 225 bed acute care facility. Currently there are a total of 5 FTE’s in the department. Your department handles all marketing functions for the hospital as well as social media accounts, public relations, hospital events coordination, preparation of marketing materials, physician recruitment and attendance at sponsored community events.
Your hospital is looking to have a more impactful digital image. Your Board of Directors has instructed you to create, manage and maintain a new Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn presence. Presently the hospital only has a Facebook page and you don’t know who created it or what it is being used for. They also would like the hospital website updated.
The Board has approved creation of a new position and asked you to create a job title, a job description, recommended salary/hourly rate, performance standards, and orientation for this new employee. This should be a well-designed layout that impresses your boss!
