This set of assignments challenges you to analyze and present a case that has been supplied to you: How Brands Can Enter the
Metaverse. This case is included in your HBR Course Pack. In your case analysis, you are expected to provide a rigorous analysis
and strategic recommendations and applications.
With the How Brands Can Enter the Metaverse case, you will need to submit your case study in Week 2. The case will be
discussed in class during Week 3.
Case Study Deliverables:
• Summary Sheet: You will provide a one-page summary of the case scheduled for discussion in class. The Summary Sheet
should include, but is not limited to:
o Problem
o Decision Statement
o List of Alternative identification
o Note: This Summary Sheet does not address the details of strategies or recommendations.
• Recommendation Sheet: You will include a one-page recommendation for the course of action a company can take.
The recommendation sheet should clearly identify a course of action which company management should take. You need to
provide full support of his/her position. Possible tools include:
o PEST (Environmental Scan- Political, Economic, Socio-Cultural and Technological Environments) analysis
o SWOT Matrix Analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats)
o Industry and competitor analysis (GE Matrix Model, BCG Matrix Model, Space, IFE/EFE, etc.)
• Utilization of One Marketing Model: Finally, your case study needs to include a two-page analysis of the discussed
marketing model for the case. You must develop the model and then explain how the model aids you in your decision
statement.
• You may refer to the supplied set of questions for each case for inspiration. Please note that this case study is not an
exercise in answering these questions. The questions are intended as guides or direction for your analysis.
