Construct a memo that delivers this bad news to your staff. The memo needs to address the entire staff without singling out any employees as individuals.
Deliver the news in a way that keeps employees positive while still giving the bad news. Design the memo to highlight key info and chunk for scanning.
Write the memo from you but come up with a solution that will keep employees happy, while still not costing your department much money. Consider how your CEO will view your incentives. Your CEO does not want you to spend money, but he is okay with you using corporate incentives to keep staff happy and retained.
