Do some research on your chosen client – check out their website, past social media history, talk to their owner/director, their customers, etc., – whatever sources you can find to help get a feel for what your client needs. As you are doing that, prepare your SWOT Analysis:
S – Strengths, what the client does well, their unique aspects, their strong parts. For example, this might be good customer service, a great location or a popular Instagram presence.
W – Weaknesses, what the client doesn’t do well, where they might be lacking. For example, this could be understaffing, no social media presence, or an outdated website.
O – Opportunities, the external issues that might affect your client and present a potentially positive outcome. For example, maybe their community has a huge Snapchat presence, or their product is increasing in popularity, or their part of town has had some recent beautification.
T – Threats, the external issues that might affect your client and present a potentially negative outcome. For example, maybe their part of town has become run-down, or their community isn’t excited about their product, or they are worried about all the negative press about TikTok and how it will affect their account.
