You don’t have to re-read through everything on those pages, or go back to the chapters we’ve read from our various textbooks. Treat these links as a refresher as needed. I will put the instructions in the same order.

This scaffold is a bit more extensive.
You should fill out the working thesis and introduction sections first, as we’ve done in previous scaffolds.
There are five tables in the Research Review section
Each table is meant to focus on a different one of your research sources. You can and should draw information for this tables from the annotated bibliography and citation planner.
Write out the full source citation again so that you have it in a couple of places
Make sure each key sentence focuses on introducing the source and its importance
Focus the reference material on the points, quotes, and paraphrases you want to include from the source
Make sure you finish each paragraph with some details about why this matters or is going to matter to your argument
There are five tables in the Argumentative section.
Each table is meant to focus on one of the argumentative points you need to make in order to support your thesis and prove your points. Some of these points may overlap and take multiple paragraphs.
Make sure your key sentences, quotes and paraphrases, and explanation are all written to introduce the point you want to make, explain why it’s important, and tie it back to the argument you’re making.
The back page is a paragraph order outline. In the left hand column, write down notes on the order you think the paragraphs you’ve taken notes on previously in the document ought to go in. In the right hand column, write down notes explaining why you think this order is best
the goal isn’t to find the best, most perfect order for things. Rather, the goal is to be able to explain to yourself why you’ve arranged things in the order that you have.
