You will develop and share a global marketing plan. Having a solid global marketing plan
is imperative to any good strategy, especially in today’s environment. The Plan will consist of
key strategies, tactics, distribution strategies, branding, communications, legal and environmental
issues, pricing, financial analysis of the money that you will utilize, basically all of the
components of a standard Marketing Plan. You will pick a particular product or service that
currently is not available in a particular global market or one that has very low market
penetration. For example, let’s say you wanted to market widgets into Thailand. If Thailand
does not have market penetration for widgets, then that might be a viable choice. Again, this is a
US Export Plan, not a USA Plan. You are marketing your product/service outside the United
States.
You will have a mythical $10 million of advertising and promotional budget to market your
product or service. This money SHOULD NOT BE USED for operations, constructing a facility
of some sort, payroll or other administrative expenses, only promotions, building of websites,
apps or specific technologies that are key to your product/service.
The Plan will be submitted in color, PowerPoint/Google Slides format and should be 25- 30
pages in length plus the reference page. Bullet points are the preferred format. Specific components of the Plan will
include:
*Objectives/Strategies/Tactics
*Good description of your product/service
*Target audience(s)
*Country overview
*Cultural aspects (ethnicity, geography, etc)
*Regulatory or legal issues, if any
*Competitive threats
*Marketing mix including the “4Ps”(Product, Price, Place, Promotion)
*SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
*Financial analysis/ROI
*List of sources( at least 4 or more)
