The purpose of this activity is to sharpen your skills in determining what type of visual (chart, table, graph) is most suitable for a given set of numerical information. Use Excel to create visuals for the two following sets of data. 1. Figure One Results of the organizational communication survey show that the majority of employees (50%) prefer email-based daily briefs and updates while 33% of employees prefer app-based updates on Slack and only 17% would rather have weekly updates on the company’s Workplace platform. 2. Figure Two The company’s allocation of employee benefits across all workgroups has fluctuated significantly in the last five years. Here are the percentages in each work group of those employees who are still enrolled in the benefits program, those who withdrew from the program, and those who are no longer with the company: Customer Service Agents: 71% still enrolled, 27.9% withdrew, 1.1% no longer with the company Fleet Agents: 62% still enrolled, 29.2% withdrew, 8.8% no longer with the company Management: 53.6% still enrolled, 43% withdrew, 3.4% no longer with the company IT Technicians: 68% still enrolled, 27.5% withdrew, 4.5% no longer with the company Once you have created your two visuals in Excel, transfer them to a Word doc and upload to Canvas by the due date specified in the syllabus. Be sure to title and label both of your visuals to reflect what is being displayed.
