Materials for this discussion board include an introduction to the Pentateuch as well as the Reading Guide’s introduction to major themes present in Genesis 1-11. Genesis 1-11 contains creation, the fall of humanity, the increase of violence, the flood, the story of Noah’s family, and the story of the Tower of Babel. These narratives, when viewed together, give us elements necessary to understanding the rest of the Bible.
