After you have digested some of the theoretical material here, I am interested in hearing how you have related to, grappled with, your own unconscious life. What patterns of affect/acting out having noticed in yourself that appear to mostly be expressed unconsciously? What allowed you to see these patterns? Can you trace such patterns back to childhood experience? If you want to take a more indirect route, you can think of important or recurring dreams you have had. In many psychodynamic theories, dreams are thought to say something important about our most intimate wishes and fears, and often condense or represent some important and affectively charged experience. What would such a dream (or dreams) say about what you are struggling with? So, you can talk about unconscious patterns in general, and if you want you can talk about an important dream (or recurring dreams) and their place in your unconscious life.
