“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32 – (NKJV)
Conflictual family dynamics lack an empathetic understanding of the other person’s perspective. The ability to show kindness and compassion is constricted during conflictual times. Couples are to be kind, caring, and compassionate toward each other. Partners often take a side and do not understand their partner’s perspectives. Ezekiel 11:19 states it is not God’s will for us to be hard-hearted, so we need the Holy Spirit to make our hearts soft and tender again. Being tenderhearted toward family members requires us to be aware of other’s family members’ feelings and care about their pains. We need to give it to God when family members hurt or offend us. Then accept the peace that God provides, which is beyond our understanding.
