Hello Professor and Classmates, I chose nature vs nurture as my issue to dicuss. I chose nature vs nuture because I have many questions about myself and what traits I inherited from my parents. It made me think hard on it starting from your features, mentalilty, mental illnesses, and even inheriting one of your parents same voice. I think about what I learned from my parents growing up and how it shaped me into the person I am today. It also has alot to do with how my parents acted, the enviornment they raised me in, and other experiences like having half siblings, and the friends we meet in the neighborhood and school. I realized when It came to hereditary factors I got alot from my father, I have his smile, eyes, nose, lips, and can be very impatient like him. I also inheritied my dads awful vision, he started wearing glasses at age five nd I started at age four. I can say I did get having straight teeth from my mother, my father had a gap that he would whistle through. When it comes to personality I am alot like my mother. She is creative, loves to read, a quiet person, and is a very giving person. How you behave and treat your children sets and example and effects how they grow up and turn out as teens and adults. They need a nurturing parent, a patient parent, structure, love, and someone to teach them discipline as well. Nurturing is most important because regardless of the color of my childs eyes or hair, their mental health and how they feel about life is more important than imagine.
