Focus on a group of people who have been oppressed because of their ethnicity, social class, gender, sexual orientation, physical status, or emotional status. Perform research to find out which areas and issues are sensitive for this group and thus are issues that a human service worker would need to understand. Your research should involve at least one peer-reviewed article (using the research databases available through the myEdison portal or the New Jersey State Library). You may also consult a Web site that advocates for the oppressed group. Please provide information about the article and (if used) the URL of the Web site in your posting. In your posting, state the guidelines you would follow in your approach to providing human services for this group.
