Practicum report

****My practicum agency is the United States Air Force******
*****ESSAY MUST BE ALLIGNED WITH THAT NARRATIVE***

introduction: Start with a description of the purpose of practicums. What does WCU (or any University
for that matter) believe the practicum experience will provide for students? Dont just use your ideas,
use and cite the ideas of others via books, pamphlets, articles, etc.
A. Practicum Adversities and Difficulties: Identify any obstacles, problems, or difficulties you have
encountered in carrying out your responsibilities. Do not indicate that you have not had any.
Every practicum experience comes with some difficulties, even if it is simply being bored or
working on a task that you do not enjoy. How have you overcome these adversities?
B. The Official and Real Responsibilities of the Agency: Describe the impact your experience at the
agency has had on your understanding of the agency and its role in the criminal justice system
and on your own understanding of the criminal justice system. In your opinion, does the agency
fulfill its mission statement? Feel free to be critical, they do not have access to this report.
C. Advancement of Knowledge: Compare and contrast what you have learned working at the
agency with what you have learned in classes at WCU. Has the practicum experience advanced
your understanding of the role of this agency in the criminal justice system? Has it increased
your understanding of the American criminal justice system?
D. Overall Practicum Assessment: Describe the overall value of the practicum experience to your
undergraduate education and to your career goals. Do you feel this agency is an appropriate
place for a practicum, why or why not? Would you recommend that other students fulfill a
practicum at this agency, why or why not?
II. Conclusion: Wrap-up your thoughts and offer any final insight
