Alzheimer's disease is a challenging, developing, and incurable brain condition that slows memory. It frequently affects elderly persons' cognitive and memory abilities. The disease's severe condition affects one's capacity for even the most basic actions and tasks. One of the leading causes of dementia in older persons is Alzheimer's disease. Adults rarely experience it, yet it is a normal aspect of ageing. It has been observed that chronic, complex diseases get worse over time. The ineffectiveness of healthcare services led to the selection of the issue. According to the data, 6.5 million Americans will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's by 2022. Nearly 73 percent of them are senior citizens. When compared to men, older women frequently have the ratio. The proportion of almost all black people with the disease is double that of white people (Choi, 2019).

Implementation Steps

The suggestion is made to the healthcare service organization to shed light on the concerns of those who care for those with dementia and Alzheimer's. The patients need a full-time carreer to assist them with their daily tasks and medical care. The caregivers' services should be available to seniors, and the organization's resources are their biggest challenge. The caregivers must be provided with the tools they need to take care of the patients and meet the demands of their job effectively. Elderly individuals need the extra money or medical insurance for this purpose in addition to Medicaid.

Implement the Appropriate Management Theory

(Rebecca Wells, 2019) has provided a comparison between healthcare ideas and realities. According to literature, dementia or Alzheimer's patients need care and resources. The authors have taken a position on the issue to see the situation as it is. It claims that most people are in charge of their healthcare. The proper management and acceptable behavior from the health insurance organizations are necessary to care for older individuals. However, Alzheimer's is such a massive problem that patient education becomes difficult. Sometimes, the patients deteriorate to the extent that they cannot take care of themselves. In this situation, educating the patients or expecting a positive response is useless. The circumstances refer to the patients being educated via the guardians or the nursing homes where they are admitted. Some nursing homes are responsible enough to apply for medical aid without assistance. Others must be guided accordingly, and the management needs to keep in touch and monitor the whole process. Moreover, if the family members are guardians, they must be guided on how the process will be carried out and what will be benefits given to the patients. The process is important for the health and financial stability of the patients.

Regulations of Medicare and Medicaid

The initiative is to apply for extra financial aid from the organizations because the patients need the resources and caretakers. The next step is to study or explore how Medicaid can help in this regard. According to the Affordable Care Act of 2010, almost all Americans are given health insurance. It means that Medicaid insurance is already given to such patients. The application of further aid depends on why it is needed. Several regulations and laws are available where it details how the system works and under what circumstances the extra financial assistance can be given.

Training of Caretakers

The application and acquiring extra funds are not enough because the goal will be achieved after the appointment of caretakers. The caretakers have to be guided to treat and take care of patients. The applications to get Medicaid are likely to be accepted, which means that the patients have the resources to hire the caretakers. The caretakers must be patient because the mental condition can worsen with time. These methods seem simple, but they have been observed to be effective if the conditions are analyzed. The patient education and management theories are fundamental. It is necessary to mention that the situation is usually complicated because of the management of hospitals or nursing homes. Usually, the medical insurance-based systems are so flexible that they will accept the application for extra aid. These are the steps that have to be implemented in detailed and gradual steps.

The project is about Alzheimer's disease and the care of elderly people. It is observed that the older adults are mostly without families, and they live in shelter homes. They are prone to various disorders, including Alzheimer's, CVDs and diabetes. The current proposal is to discuss Alzheimer's disorder and mental health diseases. There is a need for caretakers and resources for elderly patients, and it has been found that the insurance of Medicare and Medicaid are required to give them the extra funds. The detailed problem, assessment needs, resources and other aspects have been identified. The current discussion is about the objectives and ethical principles of the proposed solution.

Objectives

· The elderly patients with Alzheimer’s will get the caretakers' services in their own homes, and their health status will improve in the next three months.

· The elderly patients with Alzheimer's will get medical insurance, and their mental health will improve in the next three months.

· The hospitals that treat Alzheimer’s disease will improve their infrastructure after receiving the funds for the care of elderly patients in the next three months.

· The overall health status of Alzheimer’s disease patients with medical insurance will be improved compared to others in the next three months.

Ethical and Legal Considerations

The proposal can only be successful and give better outcomes when the ethical and legal considerations are considered. The proposal will consider patients' autonomy where the insurance will be given to take care of them. Autonomy is necessary for the implementation of both legal and ethical principles. There are two essential principles where the legal considerations will be preferred. Nonmaleficence and beneficence mean that there should be no harm to patients, and all the actions will favor Alzheimer's patients. The insurance is needed because if the funds will not be given to patients, they will be harmed, and their condition will not be improved ahead.

Moreover, the insurance and extra funds will do good for the patients and improve their health. Justice is needed in treating patients with Alzheimer's disease because it is the right of all Americans to get the proper insurance. The timeline of the program's objectives has been discussed above. Usually, the timeline is estimated because there might be a change in the schedule. The project can only be successful when the availability and accessibility of resources are ensured. Identifying the problem and assessing needs are essential for further research of the problem. Once the needs or resources are identified, it is necessary to know how they can be achieved. It is essential to schedule the resources in time, and it will help get everything ready. The patients need the proper care and expenditure for the treatment, so the resources will be planned accordingly. The following report will discuss how the resources will be gained and scheduled in the research.

Discussion

Resources Required for the Plan

The resources required for the plan include qualified nurses, information technology and financial resources. Nurses are needed in the care of patients. Usually, the patients are elderly and do not take care of their medication, or sometimes they are not mentally stable. The family members of the shelter homes require trained nurses to keep the patients in stable condition. The technology and equipment are essential factors for taking care of Alzheimer’s patients. Suppose we talk about the management system (Atri, 2019). Technology and equipment, the financial resources come on the list. The patients need to have extra financial aid. The project's goal is to ask for the necessary resources for the treatment. One of the serious concerns for Alzheimer’s patients is that they usually do not have enough resources for treatment. Sometimes, they are homeless or living in nursing homes. In this case, the application for Medicaid and Medicare for the extra resources. The resources are necessary for the completion of the project in time (Rasmussen, 2019).

The financial expenses can be managed through insurance, which is the project's goal. The caretaker and the insurance for the financial expenses. It can be accessed by applying for Medicaid. The insurance will help the caretakers to recover as early as possible. The technology and the equipment are needed in the treatment procedure because it has been seen that the patients need to be adequately treated. The hospital has to bring the machines and keep the record of patients in the digital system. Earlier, the digital system was not required because the hospital used to keep the data in the manual system. Now, the scenario has changed. The proposal is presented to the healthcare service organization to enlighten the issues of caregivers of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The patients require a full-time caregiver to help them with treatment and daily activities. The seniors should be capable of the caregivers' services, and the most significant issue they face is the organization’s resources. The caregivers must be given the necessary resources to deal with the patients and ensure the requirements to perform their role efficiently. For this purpose, the older adults require the extra costs or medical insurance in addition to Medicaid.

Alzheimer's disease is a complicated, progressive, irreversible brain disorder that intends to slow memory. It is common among older adults and affects their thinking and memory skills. The critical situation of the disease reduces the ability to do the simplest things and tasks. Alzheimer's is one of the main causes of dementia in older adults. It is not common among adults, but it is part of ageing. It has been seen that progressive and complicated disease worsens over time. The problem is selected because of the inefficiency of healthcare services. The statistics have shown that almost 6.5 million Americans will have Alzheimer's in 2022. Among them, nearly 73 percent of them are older adults. The ratio is common in older women compared to men. Almost all blacks are double in ratio than the whites to be suffered from the disease (Choi, 2019).

Effect on Population

It affects the elderly population in different ways. Memory loss and cognitive impairment are common among the patients. The elderly adults do not remember the simple tasks and are not good at remembering the various things. The common issues they face are the repetition of questions, forgetting the routine work and secondary issues that are associated afterwards. Scientists have continued researching the complex brain changes involved in Alzheimer's disease. The changes in the brain are progressive, but they appear after ten years.
