Assignment
For this assignment, you will consider that the company for which you are working is your home country, and the country of destination is across the seas – though a country of YOUR CHOICE.
Your company is expanding into a different market and location. You are in charge of those who will be going to work overseas as expatriates. (You will be staying in your host country, but are in charge of this expansion overseas, including the leadership you select to send)
You realize that there are normal training functions you have to consider with anything related to expansion, but these issues are exacerbated by the fact that none of the expatriates have worked overseas before. You will also select and train the leadership for this venture.
Some of the factors you must consider are:
● Your selection of the leader
● The selection of the expatriates
● The leader’s emotional intelligence, as well as the team’s
● The leader’s cross-cultural communication skills, as well as the team’s
● The leader’s interpersonal skills, as well as the team’s
● Cultural and language considerations
● Plus other factors, which are location and individual dependent
Outline your plan addressing these issues and other issues, on a 4 page APA paper (with a minimum of eight [8] peer-reviewed sources).
