Select 1 essay question to develop. The essay should be approximately 2-3 pages 5 maximum. The essay MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING (OR POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED):

• Be double-spaced,

• Have 1 margins all around,

• Use 12 pt. Times New Roman Font,

• Ensure that you have a Title Page.

Please indicate at the top of the page which question that you will be discussing and or responding to. It would also be great if you could utilize some of the wordings of the question in your introductory paragraph for the essay.

For this essay, you should integrate either the Davis text, or the required readings, for the particular question you are addressing, to respond to the prompt. Secondarily, integrate other articles either on blackboard or some of the videos we have used in class.

The Grading Criteria will Include the Following:

1. Clear Organizational Structure

2. Comprehensive Details on all aspects of the Question

3. Accurate Details on all aspects of the Question

4. Pertinent Details from Text and Readings or Film to Support your Points

5. Pertinent Exemplary Quotes citing with page number when applicable from the text, reader, of video to support tour thoughts. (Dont let the quote speak for itself; you need to explain its relevance and meaning)

6. Standard grammar and a formal and academic writing style and vocabulary.

Essay question: 

Is fear or lack of knowledge the problem when we think of why attitudes/awkwardness towards people with disabilities are still the prevailing issue towards ending discrimination and negative attitudes against people with disabilities? If fear is the problem, what are some of the issues that people without disabilities are fearful of and why? What can societies do to alleviate these fears of disabilities? Do you think that those solutions would end the problem? If yes, why? If no, why not? What are some things that we need to do to value disability and people with disabilities.
