The purpose of this discussion is to reflect on the information you have seen and then share what you have learned. The Chapter 11 Discussion – Midterm, helped us apply sociological theories to the Native American experience. - Your task will be to share one (1) resource such as a website, video, publication, story or current event that helps expand our collective knowledge of Native American life. The knowledge can be from the past or the present.
- If you identify as Native American/Indigenous, do you have a family photo? Do you have a family story? These are called primary resources and can be used as your resource to help expand our collective knowledge of Native American life.
- Adding Images to Discussions: If your resource is an image, below are the instructions to add images.
- In your control panel above there is an icon that will “Embed Image” – it is the rectangle with mountains and a sun.
- Drag and drop an image into the discussion or you can paste the URL of an image (not the webpage it is on).
- If you have trouble with this, you can also download the image to your computer. Click on Upload an Image and your files should pop up. Select the picture you would like, then press submit.
- Once the picture is in the discussion, you can adjust the sizing to better fit the discussion (some images will be huge). You can also add more than one picture to discussion boards. Tip: It is best to add an image before typing words below. This may alter where the start of a paragraph appears.

- Explain the resource using only 6 words to describe what you learned. The six words should express a clear thought. They should not be random words put together. See the examples I provided below.
