AE2 is a reflective account which explores the learning achieved against the learning outcomes, reflecting on practice within an appropriate theoretical and policy context. Feedback from your OSCE (AE1) will also inform part of your reflective account. You will need to ensure that you maintain confidentiality in your work failure to do so will result in grade FI. Hence assignment word count being 2000 I will discuss/reflect on how my OSCE (objective structured clinical examination) hence why I have only asked for 1100 words.
I am going to use Rolfes reflection model on a situation a charge nurse put myself and others through on a number of occasions:
? [ ] When doing medicine round she would ask me to be her runner I was new to the job, she would put a patients medication in a pot and tell me to take it to bed 4 or Terry Smith for example. On a number of occasions she would get in a tis and shout down the ward to me with a pot of meds in my hands and say sorry not Terry Smith , Terry Adams?. I did this for her as a HCA ON a few occasions and looking back on it she did use other non registered staff a drug error must have occurred as she wasnt even asking patients questions, taking BP when patients were on diuretics etc? throwing laxatives at them without asking them if they were opening their bowels well etc, professionalism, holistic care and safety not there.
My final year so want a merit 59 or above at least my last assignment from you was fab I got 75
