This week you will chart the stages of group development.

Begin by identifying a specific group of your choice such as a study group work group, sports group, etc.

Next, develop a chart that incorporates the stages of group formation as envisioned by Tuckman as applied to your selected group

For example:

Once you have created your chart illustrating the stages of development for this group, prepare a summary of the concepts in which you explain the possible challenges that your selected group might face at each stage. For example, if you were discussing forming a sports group, at what stage might group members abilities be assessed? How would they be assessed and what challenges might that present to the group in successfully navigating the forming stage before it can move on to norming.

Your summary may be presented in a video or paper format.

Length: 1-page chart; plus 3 to 4-page paper or a 3 to 5-minute video with a minimum of three outside scholarly sources. Both the paper and video must include a scholarship (sources must be cited) and demonstrate that your knowledge of the stages of group formation to a team or group of your choice. 

References: At least 3 scholarly sources
