Cannabis has been a banned substance for athletes for years now and has been a leading factor for student athletes to get in to trouble throughout their career. Studies show that Cannabis doesnt really have many terrible side effects which is why many people around the country are using it for medical benefits. It helps with things like anxiety and depression, relaxation and calming of the body.
Purpose Statement
The Purpose of this study is obtain a reasoning on the ban of cannabis when it has more positives than negatives when used. If we can find a way to allow athletes to use this at a positive rate in order to gain the benefits it has to offer. If we could understand why this substance is banned we can see what we can do to reverse it.
Research Methodology
Research Design

I will use a Quantitative approach due to the fact that the substance is still banned
Statistical Program
I will use the SAS Simulation Studio, because it allows you to use tools for advanced analyzing.
Data Collection Method
I will collect the information through a Student Athlete seminar where we hold Reanonymous surveys.
Participants
I will be studying various sports male and female college athletes for feedback.
The Survey
I will create my own survey using Word to print out. This will allow me to ask many different types of questions that will allow students to elaborate.
