♦ Analyze the range of policy instruments available to counter the proliferation and use of weapons of mass destruction (CO#1 and CO#5)
♦ Explain the ethical implications of using weapons of mass destruction (CO#4).
Your assignment is to compose a 500-750 word position paper response to the following questions.  Be sure to utilize relevant material from your readings and the module notes to substantiate your analysis using citations. Observe APA 6th edition style and formatting as you compose your position paper response. 
In your paper, be sure to address:
♦ Ethical issues surrounding your topic;
♦ The 21st Century global security structure and America’s strategic posture in this environment relevant to your topic and context.
Questions:
♦ First, address what is the global threat of proliferation and use of weapons of mass destruction (i.e. what nations pose the most global threat);
♦ Next, what policies and systems do the United States have in place to counter the global threat, and
♦ Finally, analyze the policy instruments available and address the pros and cons of those instruments.
