Part I Public Enrollment in Colleges:
The data (first tab) in the Excel spreadsheet gives the enrollment (in millions) for public colleges from 1992 to 2016. NOTE: At the time the data was gathered, the data for 2017 was not available.
Using the time-series forecasting techniques, compute each of the following to then predict 2017:
Use a 3-year moving average
Use exponential smoothing with α=0.2 and let the forecast for 1993 equal the actual value for 1992.
Develop a linear regression model to fit the trend of the data.
Try a quadratic model.
In the techniques that you learned from forecasting and your results from the bulleted items above, determine which model fits the data best for future predicting. Explain thoroughly with calculated values, tables and graphs to support your findings.
Using the best model, make a prediction for the enrollment of 2017. What do your results tell you about public university enrollment?

Part 2 Male vs. Female Salaries:
The data (second tab) gives the salary of a sample taken from those that graduated college. The sample is separated by male vs. female. Does the male graduate earn significantly more than the female? As an analyst, us the Mann-Whitney U test to determine whether the male graduate earns significantly more than the female graduate for α=0.01. Explain thoroughly your findings.
