Nice work presenting the four scales of measurement. Why is it that despite ratio scale being at the highest level of information, is not commonly achieved in research? According to Kline et al. (2005), research aims for interval scale but achieves ordinal level. If I am interested in measuring age and response time, why would I use ordinal or interval instead of ratio if response time can be true zero variable?

Self-esteem and emotional intelligence will serve as the study topics for my dissertation investigation. The psychological constructs play an essential role in observing how people differ in their behavioural patterns and emotional states as well as social connections.

Obtaining objective data through behavioural observations needs major resources. Clinical interviews deliver thorough evaluations, although their duration is long. A comprehensive assessment of self-esteem together with emotional intelligence requires the combined use of various research techniques. Research on these constructs should combine different assessment methods in order to increase measurement accuracy and reliability.
