PROJECT PROPOSAL

You need to have formulated an idea you’d want to turn into an application by the second week of the semester.

This is a team assignment and only one submission should be done per team. There are three parts to this assignment.

Part I Abstract

Write an investor abstract for your project (the same model is used in the senior project class) The abstract should have three paragraphs as follows:

Description of the business domain (why are we doing this project)

Description of state of the art (How are people doing this now)

Description of the solution (How does your project propose to solve the problem, tools you’ll use, how your project will be different and stand out from the current solution and others)

Part II Team Introduction
Learn about your teammates. Who are they, what do they bring to the table, why do they want to work on this project (besides that it is required), what innovation can they add, how can they help expand the idea for the project and so on? DO NOT say “X is a Software Engineer, knows Python,” etc. You need to know more about the person not what we already know!
Part III Cost Estimation
What do you think your project would cost to get done by a team of four SDE’s?
