Applied Evidence-Based Project and Practicum NRS-465- T0pic 8 DQ 1- Peer participation
Lara Ashton
In the Topic 7 Capstone Change Project Evaluation Plan, the focus is on two main variables: the dependent and the independent variables. The dependent variable in this study is the “knowledge of prenatal women,” which is evaluated by the difference in their knowledge scores obtained through the structured questionnaires before and after the intervention. This factor is a dependent variable because it is expected to change after the manipulation of the independent variable.
The independent variable in this research is the “digital prenatal education program.” This factor is controlled and altered to see its effect on the dependent variable, which in this case is the increase in prenatal knowledge among the participants. The study will be able to pinpoint the effects of the digital program on increasing prenatal knowledge by controlling this variable.
The introduction of the digital prenatal education program will result in a considerable increase in the knowledge scores of prenatal women by at least 30%.” This hypothesis asserts the existence of a linear relationship between the independent variable (the educational intervention) and the dependent variable (the improvement in knowledge scores). The digital education program will lead to notable improvement in the post-intervention assessment scores compared to the pre-intervention scores (Shaban et al., 2024). The goal of the 30% increase is to validate the effectiveness of the educational intervention. This would not only verify the efficiency of the digital prenatal education program, but it would also inform decisions about whether it should be continued, expanded, or modified. Moreover, if the project shows positive results, it can build stakeholder confidence and even add to the funds for the program, which will help extend it to other geographic regions or adapt it for different populations (Van der Veken et al., 2020).
