The purpose of this project is to develop a marketing plan for marketing a product or service in your assigned country.
The purpose of this project is to develop a marketing plan for marketing a product or service in your assigned country. Each group should determine what product or service best matches his/her country, based on his/her situation analysis; the product or service must be targeted to end-user consumers (not business or government segments) and that it must be approved by Instructor. You may take Saudi Arabia as the country and develop a marketing plan for marketing a foreign product or service.
In writing the project, it should be assumed that the audience is the CEO and top management of the company that markets the product or service for which you are developing the marketing plan. Each Student may use a real company or create a hypothetical one.
Your group may choose one of two options:
1.You may take an existing company
2.You may make an imaginary company and apply all modules on it.
Total length of the project should be 13–15 pages of text (Time New Roman references and any appendix material), single-spaced (12-point font) Title (16-point font bold), heading (14-point font bold all capital) and subheading (12-point font small letter). Be sure to include a cover page that includes the name of the university, project title and names of all group members. Use subheadings to divide the sections.
The following is an outline of your Written Marketing Report:
1. Executive Summary -Include short profiles of the company, the product to be exported and the country with which you wish to trade. The purpose of an executive summary is to give the reader a brief glance at the critical points of your report. Those aspects of the culture a reader should know to do business in the country but would not be expected to know or would find different based on his or her home country should be included in this summary.
2. Brand Analysis (of the Company/Product/Service you plan on exporting)
A. Strengths-Evaluate the product as an innovation as it is perceived by the intended market.
B. Weakness -Major problems and resistance to product acceptance based on the preceding evaluation
3. Country Analysis- Brief discussion of the country’s relevant history, population, demographics, GNP, working conditions, exchange rates, major industries.

c. Legal/Regulatory System (judiciary system, socialist/Islamic-law?)
d. Social and Cultural Forces (race, religion, ethnicity, subcultures, business customs)

The situation analysis should include: the geographic location of the country; a brief history; the economic situation, currency and current exchange rate and living conditions; cultural background such as demographics, language(s), major religions, consumer lifestyles, food and dress, business etiquette and important norms and traditions; political system; legal system; involvement in multinational market groups, barriers or encouragements to trade.
