Working on the final capstone project alongside Caroline and Anylizauri was a truly eye-opening experience that reshaped my understanding of what it means to be an effective leader. As the project evolved, I embraced aspects of transformational leadership by presenting a compelling vision and empowering my teammates to bring forth their unique skills and ideas. This not only encouraged creativity and innovation but also led to a stronger and more impactful final outcome.
Furthermore, when unexpected challenges like tight deadlines and limited resources came our way, I utilized my crisis leadership abilities to remain composed, make strategic decisions, and unite the team in finding collaborative solutions.

In the current corporate and financial environment, change is inevitable. Finance departments across every level are still being put to the test by changing policies, artificial intelligence, growing costs, and evolving technologies. Businesses must constantly deal with difficult decisions like: Should they develop or buy? Should they issue shares or take out a loan? How much financial risk are they able to take on? Strong responses from self-assured finance executives are required. Even though I still have a lot to learn about finances and management, this course gave me a strong foundation on specific concepts that can make a difference when making a decision.
The world economy is continuously changing. Entire industries and sectors continually evolve due to shocks and upheavals in everything from digital technology to demographics and geopolitics. In this dynamic environment, financial leaders must possess keen intuition, an international perspective, and a wealth of real-world experience. Focusing on finance in our MBA may help us stand out. My knowledge of the intricacies of domestic and international financial markets will grow due to this MBA in Healthcare Management. We thoroughly and in-depth examined financial futures, investments, interest rates, and portfolio management. Another skill we acquired was assessing the economic aspects that influence investment choices and tactics for particular sectors.

The following is a reflection on the covered course. One of the key takeaways from the principles of managerial finances is the importance of the time value of money. From this course, I have learned that the time value of money is where a currency decreases its value over time. For example, a dollar is worth more than what it be in the future. For this reason, it is important to consider the time value of money whenever engaging in long-term financial decisions. Additionally, the concept of the time value of money is crucial in investment analysis, loan pricing, and evaluating the value of assets (Dragot?, 2022). This time value of money has transformed my personality significantly as now I have realized making wise financial decisions.
The second takeaway from the course is differentiating between long and short-term financial planning. The goals and objectives of short-term planning are different from those of long-term planning (Caesar et al., 2021). When long-term and short-term decisions are pursued correctly, they significantly contribute to financial stability. The third observation from this course is the importance of the financial market environment. From this course, I have learned that the market environment for any business entail comprises a range of factors and changes that shape the financial markets. One important thing that I have learned is how these factors in the market environment shape consumer behavior globally.
Another important observation from this course is the role of managerial finance and how it contributes to strategic decision-making processes. Managerial finance offers a framework and the necessary tools required to make successful and sustainable goals.

As a clinical analyst and nurse, digging into the concepts of executive finance might appear contrary to my specialization. However, as a result of investigating the aspects of managerial finance, I comprehend various aspects of my field. To begin, comprehension of interest rate elements and the interest rate term composition equips me with a broader perspective. These aspects include viewpoints on economic powers that form the healthcare financing sector. Therefore, I may be capable of steering through dialogues surrounding various factors in the healthcare field. For example, the funding strategies, financial plans (budgeting), and the monetary implications of healthcare guidelines amendments in the facility (Gitman, Juchau & Flanagan, J. (2015).
Additionally, I have a refined comprehension of threat management by learning about risk premiums and legal aspects of corporate bonds. This understanding (threats management) is a significant skill in the healthcare setting. Hence, healthcare personnel need to examine and alleviate the threats in patient care programs by employing the skills of risk management.
This learning journey has been helpful to me on a personal level. It has helped me foster intellectual curiosity and interdisciplinary thinking on different aspects as a clinical analyst and a nurse. For example, embracing new knowledge domains broadens my horizons in different aspects. Additionally, it cultivates a growth mindset in my professional mandates as a clinical analyst and a nurse. Moreover, mastering complex financial concepts instilled me confidence and resilience (Remondino, 2020). For example, I can steer through dialogues surrounding various factors in the healthcare field. This is a result of acquiring knowledge on the aspects of interest rate elements and the interest rate term composition. Consequently, I am empowered to tackle unfamiliar challenges with control and adaptability.

This course has definitely been challenging for me. I personally had not taken a finance course before and found some of topics difficult to grasp at first. Nevertheless, I prevailed and have learned a lot along the way. This new knowledge will help me advance in my healthcare career and help me make better financial decisions for my personal goals as well. It has been enlightening to see how financial management works and its purpose, especially how it applies to me when I previously believed it was not that relevant to my current job situation. Finance is now a less daunting subject for me. Instead, finance is now less scary to think about and easier to manage. I am truly grateful for this course and what both teachers have taught me. I hope to continue to foster my knowledge of finance for both personal and career related purposes. To my classmates, I wish you all the best of luck in your final essay and other tests this week. Congratulations on making it to the finish line! The hardest parts are behind us. I truly hope you all succeed in whatever your next chapter of life is.
