Rationale: This question assesses customers’ perceptions of the food’s sensory properties, which are important for their satisfaction (Namkung and Jang, 2007). Was the food provided at the right temperature? Rationale: Temperature affects food quality and enjoyment, indicating the restaurant’s attention to detail and culinary standards. How impressed were you with the different menu options? Rationale: Offering a diverse and satisfying menu improves customer satisfaction and encourages repeat visits (Huang and Hsieh, 2015). For Customer Satisfaction (dependent variable): In overall, how pleased were you with your dining experience at our restaurant? Rationale: This question measures total satisfaction, encompassing the entire dining experience (Parasuraman et al., 1985). How will your prior experience influence your decision to return to our restaurant? Rationale: Customer retention is defined by their level of enjoyment and probability of returning, emphasizing the importance of positive encounters. Customer recommendations indicate satisfaction and loyalty, which benefits the restaurant’s reputation and future business (Zeithaml, Bitner, and Gremler, 2006). These open-ended questions are designed to elicit qualitative data in order to better understand consumer viewpoints and experiences, ultimately leading to higher satisfaction in local restaurants. Conclusion: The findings from this qualitative study on customer satisfaction in a local restaurant environment can serve as a solid platform for designing focused plans and activities to improve the dining experience and build long-term client loyalty.
