At the end of this course the students will be able to:
1.Critically examine and apply techniques, processes associated with the roles of Human Resources in recruitment, selection, training and development and performance appraisal in organisations operating in a global environment.
2.Explain the strategic significance of rewards and identify options available rewarding people within a global workforce.
3.Understand and evaluate the HR functions contribution to Corporate Social Responsibility.
4.Distinguish and create different policies approaches to address some Human Resources issues such as equal employment, diversity, employee relations and employee representations.
Organisation and methodology:
The student will work on the several tasks as per below, using the content of the lessons and documents available in moodle while enhancing this with additional research and practical examples to justify or criticize the practices. Previous posts and collaborations will have created additional reflections and learning. The student will submit by the end of the course a written project to Turnitin, using the following outline:
Cover page: including your name and student number
Introduction: Briefly explain your company or organisation as well as your role in the organisation
Part 1: Performance management
Part 2: Rewards
Part 3: Corporate Social responsibility.
Conclusion: Summarize the key points of your learnings in this subject.
