A Day in life post this post, you’re first going to resea
A Day in life post this post, you’re first going to research and create a Pinterest page portraying dailylife of a person living during a time and place covered by this course. The time andplace should be as specific as possible. Note – for History 102 or 112, you cannot gopast the 1960s! NOTES: Your pins must be sites, images, video, and music YOU find. You may not use someone else’s existing pin. .Your page should have pins (videos, pictures, links to pages) about: • Clothing• Food • Housing and/or architecture • Entertainment, leisure activities, and art • Work • And religion and/or politics and government. You might also want pins about medicine, childhood and education, and other aspects oflife! In a monarchy or empire, very few people participated in government, so you canfocus more on religion. In a time period like Colonial America, both would beappropriate (and they are often connected up through the Enlightenment!). • Pin at least 2 videos • Pin at least 4 images • Pin at least 4 websites• Pin at least 2 primary sourcesBut you need at least two pins per category. This is overall, not per category. Again, you must create your pins from scratch, not pin something already on someone else’s board! Pins others created will show their name and date they posted it and you will not receive credit for those! When you create your pins, make sure you edit them to add a four sentences comment to each one that: • Briefly summarizes the resource • Explains whether it is scholarly or popular • Explains what sources the author used if it is a secondary source or what type ofsource it IS if it is a primary source. • And what you learned from it. Then you will do a post here in Blackboard. The post will sum up what you’ve learnedabout daily life in your chosen time and place in the past and answer the followingquestions in ¾-1 page: • Most important things in daily life to a person living then • Similarities and differences between then and now • Sources that exist for us to be able to learn about daily life in the past. There will be another handout in Blackboard with instructions and links to videos on howto use Pinterest. Your account MUST use your real name OR your chosen pseudonym ( MY chosen Pseudonym is GRANDEUR)https://www.pinterest.com/trauthhistory/laura-trauth/ ( EXAMPLE) Checklist: Pinterest account created with your real name (or the pseudonym you choose inWeek 1). Pinterest board created. Categories created within the board for 1. clothing, 2. food, 3. housing, community, and/or architecture, 4. entertainment, leisure activities and/or art, 5.work, And 6. religion and/or politics and government. At least two pins added per category that include at least two videos, four images, four websites, and two primary source documents. Comment added to each pin that summarizes the resource, explains whether it isscholarly or popular, explains what sources the author used if it is a secondarysource or what type of source it IS if it is a primary source, and explains what youlearned from it. ¾ to 1 page post created analyzing (not describing) your board that considers themost important things in daily life to a person living then, similarities anddifferences between then and now, and the sources that exist for us to be able tolearn about daily life in the past. Two replies done to other posts that show you read/watched the pins on theirboards.
