The patient has a diagnosis of recurrent cervical carcinoma with metastatic disease to the ovaries and bladder. After discussing with the patient and informing her of the risks, the patient consented to an abdominal hysterectomy. An incision was made at the pubic area. The fascia and muscle were retracted.
