Now that you are nearing the conclusion of the course, I would like for you to discuss just how prepared you feel you are in terms of addressing each outcome. If you believe there are certain outcomes which you’re still not as comfortable with, what specific steps (or actions) will you take outside of this course to strengthen these areas? You ARE NOT expected to provide peer responses for this unit’s discussion question, but you are welcome to share insights with your peer should you choose.
1. The student will be able to identify legitimate problems and development of appropriate research questions.
2. The student will be able synthesize relevant literature in support of a research study.
3. The student will be able to evaluate the relevance of theoretical models in terms of supporting the identified purpose of the study and to guide the collection of relevant data.
4. The student will be able to select an appropriate research design/methodology that will take into consideration and safeguard against potential ethical risks to study subjects, as well as to ensure proper alignment with the intended purpose of the study.
5. The student will be able to identify the correct methods and techniques to test hypotheses and adequately address the research questions.
6. The student will be able to relate study findings back to the research questions and/or hypotheses in order to determine whether the information can be appropriately relied upon to support decision-making.
